Amplifying South Jersey: Latest from our Fellows

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, civil rights attorney Stanley King was given the opportunity as an undergrad to serve in an internship with the United States Commission of Civil Rights. As an intern, he worked with Ebenezer Baptist Church (which was pastored by Martin Luther King Jr.)  and the surrounding community. In addition to serving at this historical landmark, he devoted time to the King Center and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. 

For many gamers, the dream of turning their passion into a career seems like a distant fantasy. But for Jordan Minor, that dream has become his everyday life.

The affordable housing crisis has deeply affected New Jersey residents for some time now and with the rising cost of living, it is hard for families to catch a break.

Although new housing is being built, only a certain amount is required by law to be allocated as affordable units. And now municipalities across the state have until the end of January to address the mandate to add or restore some 150,000 units of affordable housing by 2035.
